Press release NVK-Ceramics

Admire and buy the work of well-known and unknown ceramists from all over the Netherlands, that’s what the coming weekend in the Vasim is about. The Vasim is host to a large sales exhibition of the Dutch Trade Group Ceramists on 30 November and 1 December, which celebrates its 45th anniversary. At 11 AM on 30 November culture
Councilor Noël Vergunst opens the NVK-Ceramics event

It is the first time that the ceramic artists of the NVK from all over the country gather in Nijmegen to show their work. A total of 64 participants offer a varied overview of what working with clay can mean in art and as a craft.

The aim of the Trade Group Ceramics is to promote ceramics, stimulate quality and to spread and protect the expertise. Because making a good piece of ceramics comes with a lot of technical expertise.

Admission to the event is free of charge. Everyone is welcome in the Vasim at Winselingseweg 41. Opening hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM on both days in the weekend of November 30 and December 1st.

If you would like to know more about the participants, check out www.nvk-keramiek.nl.

Route description to the Vasim

With a (public transport) bike from Nijmegen station there is about 10 minutes of cycling (2.3 km).

By car:

From S100 De Oversteek

Via the A325 you can enter the Graaf Alardsingel/S100 in Nijmegen Lent, near the train station. You enter De Oversteek Nijmegen via city bridge. When you cross the bridge, you will arrive at a roundabout. Take the 1st exit, the S101. Continue the road to the Waalbandijk. Take the first turn left, onto the Latensteinweg. The Vasim and the gate to the Vasim site are on your right.

From Keizer Karel rotonde

At the Keizer Karel roundabout, take the exit to the Nassausingel/S101/S102 (direction Weurt/ Beuningen/ Industrieterrein Noordkanaalhaven). Drive this road, past the park, until you get to a T-junction. Turn left here, onto Lange Hezelstraat (S101). Take the 1st turn on the right, the Weurtseweg (S101). Drive the Weurtseweg until you see the Winselingseweg on your right hand. If you drive into the Winselingseweg, after 100 meters at the crossing, you will see a sign with the logo and address of Cultuurspinnerij De Vasim. Turn left here – please note: the bicycle traffic of the express cycle route takes precedence at this intersection! Go under the new bridge. You can already see the Vasim building on your right. Turn the first road right (Latensteinweg). The Vasim and the gate to the Vasim site are now on your right.

From the A73

When you enter Nijmegen from the A73, turn left at the second traffic lights: you are now on the Energieweg. After two small roundabouts (straight ahead), 2 traffic lights (straight ahead) and the large roundabout
Industrieplein‘ (straight ahead), you will arrive at the large roundabout ‘Nymaplein’. At this roundabout, take the 2nd exit, the Waalbandijk. Take the first turn left, onto the Latensteinweg. The Vasim and the gate until the Vasim site is on your right.
