DFB-ceramics (DFB-keramiek) is the name by which I make contemporary ceramic art that needs to be made; authentic sculptures that defy the issues of the day. I strive for handcrafted works that reveal the dialogue between the potter and his clay.

DFB-Keramiek is a registered trademark since 2008. My signature “DFB” are the initials of my name (Daniël Franciscus Bende). Since 2015 DFB-Keramiek also received a qualified recognition by the Centre for Craft Economy (CvAE).

This Dutch website was put online in 2006. An unpretentious site with information on glazing and firing of stoneware ceramics. In 2015 the dutch Blog “Keramiek Bende” and my personal information , formerly on www.DanielBende.nl, were added.
From 2016, we started to add English translations. The blog “Ceramics Gang” (formerly on www.CeramicsGang.nl) was also added to this translated site. From the end of 2016 I am also a member of the Dutch Ceramists Association (NVK).
