Art, Tattoo, Records and Comics: the Shop – Tattoo All Stars. Art Fusion in practice. The store is new, the property is old, vibrant and exciting in the heart of Veenendaal, Achterkerkstraat 24 (100 meters from the market). Curious? How did I discover this melting pot of art? Because I know all the art hotspots of the Netherlands…. Okay, actually because Connie from “The Shop” had seen my ceramic sculptures and this was a perfect match for her gallery.
I fully agree, an art fusion without ceramics is not complete. Especially if it concerns my ceramics;-)
The Shop-Tattoo All Stars
The store is open for a few months in an authentic building in the center of Veenendaal. Old building, contemporary art; a nice combination. And that is not the only combination that is being made.
In The shop you can get a tattoo, but you can also find graphic novels, vinyl, jewellery and art, including ceramic sculptures. And that’s where I come into the picture.
A varied art supply
A few weeks ago we visited the store in the heart of Veenendaal. On the shelf I saw works by Frank Miller and on the wall Peter Pontiac, I felt right at home in the shop. I have since I can read a soft spot for comics and so for me it was a small bit of heaven.
Connie, the co-owner showed us the gallery. After a cup of coffee we decided where my sculptures were best placed. That worked out fine, my bird sculptures are used to being next to graphic novels. And I too was very satisfied, I like to be part of the variety of this gallery.
