The art parade Heiloo 2018 will be held the last weekend of June: Friday 22 till Sunday 24 June daily from 11:00-17:00 hours. In various locations in Heiloo are poets musicians and…. visual artists including ceramists as the undersigned.
This year I was invited to the art square in the PCC at de Dors 2, a modern school building with a lot of daylight. Together with 14 fellow artists, it will be a special exposition with original work that stands out.

More than an art route in Heiloo
Heiloo at a stone’s throw from Alkmaar Bergen and Castricum is a village at “sacred altitude” (dutch “heilige hoogte”) where the village name originated from. The oldest found remnants date from 800 for our era; in short, a village with traditions and a rich history.
Less old but still an unthinkable event is the annual Art parade. With more than 20 volunteers, an unforgettable cultural spectacle is put down every year. A combination of live performances from poets, open ateliers and sculpture artists by invitation.
Art Square Art Parade Heiloo 2018
During the annual Art parade in Heiloo the art square was established in the modern school building (PCC Heiloo). Visitors can discover sculptural art during this famous event.
In addition, students of the PCC designers have designed a beautiful collection of shoes especially for this art-weekend.
On Friday the 22nd, the PCC gives pupils the opportunity to visit the art market and to engage with the artists themselves. I am curious about the questions and comments of these young designers.

The art square on de Dors 2, 1852 RG Heiloo is about five bicycle minutes away from the train station in Heiloo but can also easely be reached on foot or by car.
